Fish & Co and Delifrance Halal certifications have both expired in March and June, respectively, this year. Fish & Co's application for renewal of the certification was rejected in February this year for not meeting Muis' Halal Certification Conditions. As of now, a Muis spokesperson has confirmed that they have not received another application from them.

On a Facebook post by Fish & Co on Wednesday, they claimed that they were still complying with the Halal standards and that halal certification consultant, HalalHub, is working on renewing the certification.

Delifrance general manager Mr Alvin Goo said the company is working to resolve some technical issues, which "are not related to food preparation, materials used or presentation". They are also working with an expert of the field to resolve the issues to gain back the certification.
